Wise Owls Newsletter April 30, 2018

two owls on branch

Hello all! Our Artist in Residence, Okaindja came to our school today as he teaches us about African drumming, dancing and story telling. We will do this everyday this week. We will be performing for you this Friday at 8:00 AM as we also announce how much money we have raised by our reading efforts for the kids in Tanzania. It’s not too late! You can still donate a lump sum for this great charity and the kids earned it all by reading! At school, your children have read over 11 hours by themselves to help the kids in Tanzania! Now, how can you take what your child did (by reading) and help others across the world? What’s the next step to becoming a great person just like the one you studied?

Second graders will celebrate the efforts of everyone who participated with African drumming and dancing from 8:00-8:55 on Friday, May 4th. It will be a fun celebration. Parents are invited to see our performance. Don’t miss it!

Thank you for using your reading skills to help
